Our 2024 Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir once again brings together fruit from Wayward Oak and Stardance Vineyards, two distinctive sites that give us a wonderful expression of this corner of the Willamette Valley. The wine opens with a fragrant nose of wild berries and cherry, layered with cocoa, clay and subtle notes of licorice and tarragon. On the palate, it has an elegance and freshness that we particularly love, with natural acidity bringing a touch of citrus to the darker berry flavors. The tannins are refined, and the wine has beautiful length and balance, making it delicious now but with plenty of potential to evolve over the next five years. This is a Pinot Noir that feels both polished and unmistakably Yamhill-Carlton.
